সুরা ইউনুস
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু
সূরা ইউনুস (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ)

[1] الر ۚ تِلكَ ءايٰتُ الكِتٰبِ الحَكيمِ
[1] আলিফ-লাম-র, এগুলো হেকমতপূর্ণ কিতাবের আয়াত।
[1] Alif-Lâm-Râ. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Book (the Qur'ân) Al-Hakîm.
[2] أَكانَ لِلنّاسِ عَجَبًا أَن أَوحَينا إِلىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنهُم أَن أَنذِرِ النّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا أَنَّ لَهُم قَدَمَ صِدقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِم ۗ قالَ الكٰفِرونَ إِنَّ هٰذا لَسٰحِرٌ مُبينٌ
[2] মানুষের কাছে কি আশ্চর্য লাগছে যে, আমি ওহী পাঠিয়েছি তাদেরই মধ্য থেকে একজনের কাছে যেন তিনি মানুষকে সতর্ক করেন এবং সুসংবাদ শুনিয়ে দেন ঈমনাদারগণকে যে, তাঁদের জন্য সত্য মর্যাদা রয়েছে তাঁদের পালনকর্তার কাছে। কাফেররা বলতে লাগল, নিঃসন্দেহে এ লোক প্রকাশ্য যাদুকর।
[2] Is it wonder for mankind that We have sent Our Revelation to a man from among themselves (i.e. Prophet Muhammad SAW) (saying): "Warn mankind (of the coming torment in Hell), and give good news to those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and in His Prophet Muhammad SAW) that they shall have with their Lord the rewards of their good deeds?" (But) the disbelievers say: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer (i.e. Prophet Muhammad SAW and the Qur'ân)!
[3] إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذى خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ فى سِتَّةِ أَيّامٍ ثُمَّ استَوىٰ عَلَى العَرشِ ۖ يُدَبِّرُ الأَمرَ ۖ ما مِن شَفيعٍ إِلّا مِن بَعدِ إِذنِهِ ۚ ذٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُم فَاعبُدوهُ ۚ أَفَلا تَذَكَّرونَ
[3] নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা আল্লাহ যিনি তৈরী করেছেন আসমান ও যমীনকে ছয় দিনে, অতঃপর তিনি আরশের উপর অধিষ্ঠিত হয়েছেন। তিনি কার্য পরিচালনা করেন। কেউ সুপারিশ করতে পাবে না তবে তাঁর অনুমতি ছাড়া ইনিই আল্লাহ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তোমরা তাঁরই এবাদত কর। তোমরা কি কিছুই চিন্তা কর না ?
[3] Surely, your Lord is Allâh Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawâ) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty), disposing the affair of all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His Leave. That is Allâh, your Lord; so worship Him (Alone). Then, will you not remember?
[4] إِلَيهِ مَرجِعُكُم جَميعًا ۖ وَعدَ اللَّهِ حَقًّا ۚ إِنَّهُ يَبدَؤُا۟ الخَلقَ ثُمَّ يُعيدُهُ لِيَجزِىَ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ بِالقِسطِ ۚ وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا لَهُم شَرابٌ مِن حَميمٍ وَعَذابٌ أَليمٌ بِما كانوا يَكفُرونَ
[4] তাঁর কাছেই ফিরে যেতে হবে তোমাদের সবাইকে, আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য, তিনিই সৃষ্টি করেন প্রথমবার আবার পুনর্বার তৈরী করবেন তাদেরকে বদলা দেয়ার জন্য যারা ঈমান এনেছে এবং নেক কাজ করেছে ইনসাফের সাথে। আর যারা কাফের হয়েছে, তাদের পান করতে হবে ফুটন্ত পানি এবং ভোগ করতে হবে যন্ত্রনাদায়ক আযাব এ জন্যে যে, তারা কুফরী করছিল।
[4] To Him is the return of all of you. The Promise of Allâh is true. It is He Who begins the creation and then will repeat it, that He may reward with justice those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism) and did deeds of righteousness. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of boiling fluids and painful torment because they used to disbelieve.
[5] هُوَ الَّذى جَعَلَ الشَّمسَ ضِياءً وَالقَمَرَ نورًا وَقَدَّرَهُ مَنازِلَ لِتَعلَموا عَدَدَ السِّنينَ وَالحِسابَ ۚ ما خَلَقَ اللَّهُ ذٰلِكَ إِلّا بِالحَقِّ ۚ يُفَصِّلُ الءايٰتِ لِقَومٍ يَعلَمونَ
[5] তিনিই সে মহান সত্তা, যিনি বানিয়েছেন সুর্যকে উজ্জল আলোকময়, আর চন্দ্রকে স্নিগ্ধ আলো বিতরণকারীরূপে এবং অতঃপর নির্ধারিত করেছেন এর জন্য মনযিল সমূহ, যাতে করে তোমরা চিনতে পার বছরগুলোর সংখ্যা ও হিসাব। আল্লাহ এই সমস্ত কিছু এমনিতেই সৃষ্টি করেননি, কিন্তু যথার্থতার সাথে। তিনি প্রকাশ করেন লক্ষণসমূহ সে সমস্ত লোকের জন্য যাদের জ্ঞান আছে।
[5] It is He Who made the sun a shining thing and the moon as a light and measured out for it stages, that you might know the number of years and the reckoning. Allâh did not create this but in truth. He explains the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail for people who have knowledge.
[6] إِنَّ فِى اختِلٰفِ الَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ وَما خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ لَءايٰتٍ لِقَومٍ يَتَّقونَ
[6] নিশ্চয়ই রাত-দিনের পরিবর্তনের মাঝে এবং যা কিছু তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন আসমান ও যমীনে, সবই হল নিদর্শন সেসব লোকের জন্য যারা ভয় করে।
[6] Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day and in all that Allâh has created in the heavens and the earth are Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for those people who keep their duty to Allâh, and fear Him much.
[7] إِنَّ الَّذينَ لا يَرجونَ لِقاءَنا وَرَضوا بِالحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا وَاطمَأَنّوا بِها وَالَّذينَ هُم عَن ءايٰتِنا غٰفِلونَ
[7] অবশ্যই যেসব লোক আমার সাক্ষাৎ লাভের আশা রাখে না এবং পার্থিব জীবন নিয়েই উৎফুল্ল রয়েছে, তাতেই প্রশান্তি অনুভব করেছে এবং যারা আমার নির্দশনসমূহ সম্পর্কে বেখবর।
[7] Verily, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life of the present world, and those who are heedless of Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.),
[8] أُولٰئِكَ مَأوىٰهُمُ النّارُ بِما كانوا يَكسِبونَ
[8] এমন লোকদের ঠিকানা হল আগুন সেসবের বদলা হিসাবে যা তারা অর্জন করছিল।
[8] Those, their abode will be the Fire, because of what they used to earn.
[9] إِنَّ الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ يَهديهِم رَبُّهُم بِإيمٰنِهِم ۖ تَجرى مِن تَحتِهِمُ الأَنهٰرُ فى جَنّٰتِ النَّعيمِ
[9] অবশ্য যেসব লোক ঈমান এনেছে এবং সৎকাজ করেছে, তাদেরকে হেদায়েত দান করবেন তাদের পালনকর্তা, তাদের ঈমানের মাধ্যমে। এমন সুসময় কানন-কুঞ্জের প্রতি যার তলদেশে প্রবাহিত হয় প্রস্রবণসমূহ।
[9] Verily, those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, their Lord will guide them through their Faith; under them will flow rivers in the Gardens of Delight (Paradise).
[10] دَعوىٰهُم فيها سُبحٰنَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُم فيها سَلٰمٌ ۚ وَءاخِرُ دَعوىٰهُم أَنِ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ
[10] সেখানে তাদের প্রার্থনা হল ‘পবিত্র তোমার সত্তা হে আল্লাহ’। আর শুভেচ্ছা হল সালাম আর তাদের প্রার্থনার সমাপ্তি হয়, ‘সমস্ত প্রশংসা বিশ্বপালক আল্লাহর জন্য’ বলে।
[10] Their way of request therein will be Subhânaka Allâhumma (Glory to You, O Allâh!) and Salâm (peace, safety from evil) will be their greetings therein (Paradise)! and the close of their request will be: Al-Hamdu Lillâhi Rabbil-'Alamîn [All the praises and thanks are to Allâh, the Lord of 'Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)].
[11] ۞ وَلَو يُعَجِّلُ اللَّهُ لِلنّاسِ الشَّرَّ استِعجالَهُم بِالخَيرِ لَقُضِىَ إِلَيهِم أَجَلُهُم ۖ فَنَذَرُ الَّذينَ لا يَرجونَ لِقاءَنا فى طُغيٰنِهِم يَعمَهونَ
[11] আর যদি আল্লাহ তা’আলা মানুষকে যথাশীঘ্র অকল্যাণ পৌঁছে দেন যতশীঘ্র তার কামনা করে, তাহলে তাদের আশাই শেষ করে দিতে হত। সুতরাং যাদের মনে আমার সাক্ষাতের আশা নেই, আমি তাদেরকে তাদের দুষ্টুমিতে ব্যতিব্যস্ত ছেড়ে দিয়ে রাখি।
[11] And were Allâh to hasten for mankind the evil (they invoke for themselves and for their children, while in a state of anger) as He hastens for them the good (they invoke) then they would have been ruined. So We leave those who expect not their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering blindly in distraction. (Tafsir At-Tabarî).
[12] وَإِذا مَسَّ الإِنسٰنَ الضُّرُّ دَعانا لِجَنبِهِ أَو قاعِدًا أَو قائِمًا فَلَمّا كَشَفنا عَنهُ ضُرَّهُ مَرَّ كَأَن لَم يَدعُنا إِلىٰ ضُرٍّ مَسَّهُ ۚ كَذٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلمُسرِفينَ ما كانوا يَعمَلونَ
[12] আর যখন মানুষ কষ্টের সম্মুখীন হয়, শুয়ে বসে, দাঁড়িয়ে আমাকে ডাকতে থাকে। তারপর আমি যখন তা থেকে মুক্ত করে দেই, সে কষ্ট যখন চলে যায় তখন মনে হয় কখনো কোন কষ্টেরই সম্মুখীন হয়ে যেন আমাকে ডাকেইনি। এমনিভাবে মনঃপুত হয়েছে নির্ভয় লোকদের যা তারা করেছে।
[12] And when harm touches man, he invokes Us, lying down on his side, or sitting or standing. But when We have removed his harm from him, he passes on as if he had never invoked Us for a harm that touched him! Thus it is made fair-seeming to the Musrifûn that which they used to do.
[13] وَلَقَد أَهلَكنَا القُرونَ مِن قَبلِكُم لَمّا ظَلَموا ۙ وَجاءَتهُم رُسُلُهُم بِالبَيِّنٰتِ وَما كانوا لِيُؤمِنوا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ نَجزِى القَومَ المُجرِمينَ
[13] অবশ্য তোমাদের পূর্বে বহু দলকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি, তখন তারা জালেম হয়ে গেছে। অথচ রসূল তাদের কাছেও এসব বিষয়ের প্রকৃষ্ট নির্দেশ নিয়ে এসেছিলেন। কিন্তু কিছুতেই তারা ঈমান আনল না। এমনিভাবে আমি শাস্তি দিয়ে থাকি পাপি সম্প্রদায়কে।
[13] And indeed, We destroyed generations before you, when they did wrong while their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they were not such as to believe! Thus do We requite the people who are Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals).
[14] ثُمَّ جَعَلنٰكُم خَلٰئِفَ فِى الأَرضِ مِن بَعدِهِم لِنَنظُرَ كَيفَ تَعمَلونَ
[14] অতঃপর আমি তোমাদেরকে যমীনে তাদের পর প্রতিনিধি বানিয়েছি যাতে দেখতে পারি তোমরা কি কর।
[14] Then We made you successors after them, generations after generations in the land, that We might see how you would work.
[15] وَإِذا تُتلىٰ عَلَيهِم ءاياتُنا بَيِّنٰتٍ ۙ قالَ الَّذينَ لا يَرجونَ لِقاءَنَا ائتِ بِقُرءانٍ غَيرِ هٰذا أَو بَدِّلهُ ۚ قُل ما يَكونُ لى أَن أُبَدِّلَهُ مِن تِلقائِ نَفسى ۖ إِن أَتَّبِعُ إِلّا ما يوحىٰ إِلَىَّ ۖ إِنّى أَخافُ إِن عَصَيتُ رَبّى عَذابَ يَومٍ عَظيمٍ
[15] আর যখন তাদের কাছে আমার প্রকৃষ্ট আয়াত সমূহ পাঠ করা হয়, তখন সে সমস্ত লোক বলে, যাদের আশা নেই আমার সাক্ষাতের, নিয়ে এসো কোন কোরআন এটি ছাড়া, অথবা একে পরিবর্তিত করে দাও। তাহলে বলে দাও, একে নিজের পক্ষ থেকে পরিবর্তিত করা আমার কাজ নয়। আমি সে নির্দেশেরই আনুগত্য করি, যা আমার কাছে আসে। আমি যদি স্বীয় পরওয়ারদেগারের নাফরমানী করি, তবে কঠিন দিবসের আযাবের ভয় করি।
[15] And when Our Clear Verses are recited unto them, those who hope not for their meeting with Us, say: Bring us a Qur'ân other than this, or change it."Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It is not for me to change it on my own accord; I only follow that which is revealed unto me. Verily, I fear the torment of the Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). if I were to disobey my Lord."
[16] قُل لَو شاءَ اللَّهُ ما تَلَوتُهُ عَلَيكُم وَلا أَدرىٰكُم بِهِ ۖ فَقَد لَبِثتُ فيكُم عُمُرًا مِن قَبلِهِ ۚ أَفَلا تَعقِلونَ
[16] বলে দাও, যদি আল্লাহ চাইতেন, তবে আমি এটি তোমাদের সামনে পড়তাম না, আর নাইবা তিনি তোমাদেরেকে অবহিত করতেন এ সম্পর্কে। কারণ আমি তোমাদের মাঝে ইতিপূর্বেও একটা বয়স অতিবাহিত করেছি। তারপরেও কি তোমরা চিন্তা করবে না?
[16] Say (O Muhammad SAW): "If Allâh had so willed, I should not have recited it to you nor would He have made it known to you. Verily, I have stayed amongst you a life time before this. Have you then no sense?"
[17] فَمَن أَظلَمُ مِمَّنِ افتَرىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَو كَذَّبَ بِـٔايٰتِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لا يُفلِحُ المُجرِمونَ
[17] অতঃপর তার চেয়ে বড় জালেম, কে হবে, যে আল্লাহর প্রতি অপবাদ আরোপ করেছে কিংবা তাঁর আয়াতসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলে অভিহিত করছে? কস্মিনকালেও পাপীদের কোন কল্যাণ হয় না।
[17] So who does more wrong than he who forges a lie against Allâh or denies His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)? Surely, the Mujrimûn (criminals, sinners, disbelievers and polytheists) will never be successful!
[18] وَيَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ما لا يَضُرُّهُم وَلا يَنفَعُهُم وَيَقولونَ هٰؤُلاءِ شُفَعٰؤُنا عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ قُل أَتُنَبِّـٔونَ اللَّهَ بِما لا يَعلَمُ فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَلا فِى الأَرضِ ۚ سُبحٰنَهُ وَتَعٰلىٰ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ
[18] আর উপাসনা করে আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে এমন বস্তুর, যা না তাদের কোন ক্ষতিসাধন করতে পারে, না লাভ এবং বলে, এরা তো আল্লাহর কাছে আমাদের সুপারিশকারী। তুমি বল, তোমরা কি আল্লাহকে এমন বিষয়ে অবহিত করছ, যে সম্পর্কে তিনি অবহিত নন আসমান ও যমীনের মাঝে ? তিনি পুতঃপবিত্র ও মহান সে সমস্ত থেকে যাকে তোমরা শরীক করছ।
[18] And they worship besides Allâh things that hurt them not, nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allâh." Say: "Do you inform Allâh of that which He knows not in the heavens and on the earth?" Glorified and Exalted is He above all that which they associate as partners (with Him)!
[19] وَما كانَ النّاسُ إِلّا أُمَّةً وٰحِدَةً فَاختَلَفوا ۚ وَلَولا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَت مِن رَبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَينَهُم فيما فيهِ يَختَلِفونَ
[19] আর সমস্ত মানুষ একই উম্মতভুক্ত ছিল, পরে পৃথক হয়ে গেছে। আর একটি কথা যদি তোমার পরওয়ারদেগারের পক্ষ থেকে পূর্ব নির্ধারিত না হয়ে যেত; তবে তারা যে বিষয়ে বিরোধ করছে তার মীমাংসা হয়ে যেত।
[19] Mankind were but one community (i.e. on one religion - Islâmic Monotheism), then they differed (later), and had not it been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord, it would have been settled between them regarding what they differed
[20] وَيَقولونَ لَولا أُنزِلَ عَلَيهِ ءايَةٌ مِن رَبِّهِ ۖ فَقُل إِنَّمَا الغَيبُ لِلَّهِ فَانتَظِروا إِنّى مَعَكُم مِنَ المُنتَظِرينَ
[20] বস্তুতঃ তারা বলে, তাঁর কাছে তাঁর পরওয়ারদেগারের পক্ষ থেকে কোন নির্দেশ এল না কেন? বলে দাও গায়েবের কথা আল্লাহই জানেন। আমি ও তোমাদের সাথে অপেক্ষায় রইলাম।
[20] And they say: "How is it that not a sign is sent down on him from his Lord?" Say: "The unseen belongs to Allâh Alone, so wait you, verily I am with you among those who wait (for Allâh's Judgement)."
[21] وَإِذا أَذَقنَا النّاسَ رَحمَةً مِن بَعدِ ضَرّاءَ مَسَّتهُم إِذا لَهُم مَكرٌ فى ءاياتِنا ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ أَسرَعُ مَكرًا ۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنا يَكتُبونَ ما تَمكُرونَ
[21] আর যখন আমি আস্বাদন করাই স্বীয় রহমত সে কষ্টের পর, যা তাদের ভোগ করতে হয়েছিল, তখনই তারা আমার শক্তিমত্তার মাঝে নানা রকম ছলনা তৈরী করতে আরম্ভ করবে। আপনি বলে দিন, আল্লাহ সবচেয়ে দ্রুত কলা-কৌশল তৈরী করতে পারেন। নিশ্চয়ই আমাদের ফেরেশতারা লিখে রাখে তোমাদের ছল-চাতুরী।
[21] And when We let mankind taste mercy after some adversity has afflicted them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)! Say: "Allâh is more Swift in planning!" Certainly, Our Messengers (angels) record all of that which you plot.
[22] هُوَ الَّذى يُسَيِّرُكُم فِى البَرِّ وَالبَحرِ ۖ حَتّىٰ إِذا كُنتُم فِى الفُلكِ وَجَرَينَ بِهِم بِريحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحوا بِها جاءَتها ريحٌ عاصِفٌ وَجاءَهُمُ المَوجُ مِن كُلِّ مَكانٍ وَظَنّوا أَنَّهُم أُحيطَ بِهِم ۙ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخلِصينَ لَهُ الدّينَ لَئِن أَنجَيتَنا مِن هٰذِهِ لَنَكونَنَّ مِنَ الشّٰكِرينَ
[22] তিনিই তোমাদের ভ্রমন করান স্থলে ও সাগরে। এমনকি যখন তোমরা নৌকাসমূহে আরোহণ করলে আর তা লোকজনকে অনুকূল হাওয়ায় বয়ে নিয়ে চলল এবং তাতে তারা আনন্দিত হল, নৌকাগুলোর উপর এল তীব্র বাতাস, আর সর্বদিক থেকে সেগুলোর উপর ঢেউ আসতে লাগল এবং তারা জানতে পারল যে, তারা অবরুদ্ধ হয়ে পড়েছে, তখন ডাকতে লাগল আল্লাহকে তাঁর এবাদতে নিঃস্বার্থ হয়ে যদি তুমি আমাদেরকে এ বিপদ থেকে উদ্ধার করে তোল, তাহলে নিঃসন্দেহে আমরা কৃতজ্ঞ থাকব।
[22] He it is Who enables you to travel through land and sea, till when you are in the ships and they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they are glad therein, then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think that they are encircled therein, Then they invoke Allâh, making their Faith pure for Him Alone, (saying): "If You (Allâh) deliver us from this, we shall truly be of the grateful."
[23] فَلَمّا أَنجىٰهُم إِذا هُم يَبغونَ فِى الأَرضِ بِغَيرِ الحَقِّ ۗ يٰأَيُّهَا النّاسُ إِنَّما بَغيُكُم عَلىٰ أَنفُسِكُم ۖ مَتٰعَ الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَينا مَرجِعُكُم فَنُنَبِّئُكُم بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ
[23] তারপর যখন তাদেরকে আল্লাহ বাঁচিয়ে দিলেন, তখনই তারা পৃথিবীতে অনাচার করতে লাগল অন্যায় ভাবে। হে মানুষ! শোন, তোমাদের অনাচার তোমাদেরই উপর পড়বে। পার্থিব জীবনের সুফল ভোগ করে নাও-অতঃপর আমার নিকট প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে। তখন আমি বাতলে দেব, যা কিছু তোমরা করতে।
[23] But when He deliveres them, behold! they rebel (disobey Allâh) in the earth wrongfully. O mankind! Your rebellion (disobedience to Allâh) is only against your ownselves, - a brief enjoyment of this worldly life, then (in the end) unto Us is your return, and We shall inform you that which you used to do.
[24] إِنَّما مَثَلُ الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا كَماءٍ أَنزَلنٰهُ مِنَ السَّماءِ فَاختَلَطَ بِهِ نَباتُ الأَرضِ مِمّا يَأكُلُ النّاسُ وَالأَنعٰمُ حَتّىٰ إِذا أَخَذَتِ الأَرضُ زُخرُفَها وَازَّيَّنَت وَظَنَّ أَهلُها أَنَّهُم قٰدِرونَ عَلَيها أَتىٰها أَمرُنا لَيلًا أَو نَهارًا فَجَعَلنٰها حَصيدًا كَأَن لَم تَغنَ بِالأَمسِ ۚ كَذٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الءايٰتِ لِقَومٍ يَتَفَكَّرونَ
[24] পার্থিব জীবনের উদাহরণ তেমনি, যেমনি আমি আসমান থেকে পানি বর্ষন করলাম, পরে তা মিলিত সংমিশ্রিত হয়ে তা থেকে যমীনের শ্যামল উদ্ভিদ বেরিয়ে এল যা মানুষ ও জীব-জন্তুরা খেয়ে থাকে। এমনকি যমীন যখন সৌন্দর্য সুষমায় ভরে উঠলো আর যমীনের অধিকর্তারা ভাবতে লাগল, এগুলো আমাদের হাতে আসবে, হঠাৎ করে তার উপর আমার নির্দেশ এল রাত্রে কিংবা দিনে, তখন সেগুলোকে কেটে স্তুপাকার করে দিল যেন কাল ও এখানে কোন আবাদ ছিল না। এমনিভাবে আমি খোলাখুলি বর্ণনা করে থাকি নিদর্শণসমূহ সে সমস্ত লোকদের জন্য যারা লক্ষ্য করে।
[24] Verily, the likeness of (this) worldly life is as the water (rain) which We send down from the sky, so by it arises the intermingled produce of the earth of which men and cattle eat until when the earth is clad in its adornments and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the powers of disposal over it, Our Command reaches it by night or by day and We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday! Thus do We explain the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, laws, etc.) in detail for the people who reflect.
[25] وَاللَّهُ يَدعوا إِلىٰ دارِ السَّلٰمِ وَيَهدى مَن يَشاءُ إِلىٰ صِرٰطٍ مُستَقيمٍ
[25] আর আল্লাহ শান্তি-নিরাপত্তার আলয়ের প্রতি আহবান জানান এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা সরলপথ প্রদর্শন করেন।
[25] Allâh calls to the Home of peace (i.e. Paradise, by accepting Allâh's religion of Islâmic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds and abstaining from polytheism and evil deeds) and guides whom He wills to a Straight Path.
[26] ۞ لِلَّذينَ أَحسَنُوا الحُسنىٰ وَزِيادَةٌ ۖ وَلا يَرهَقُ وُجوهَهُم قَتَرٌ وَلا ذِلَّةٌ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ أَصحٰبُ الجَنَّةِ ۖ هُم فيها خٰلِدونَ
[26] যারা সৎকর্ম করেছে তাদের জন্য রয়েছে কল্যাণ এবং তারও চেয়ে বেশী। আর তাদের মুখমন্ডলকে আবৃত করবে না মলিনতা কিংবা অপমান। তারাই হল জান্নাতবাসী, এতেই তারা বসবাস করতে থাকবে অনন্তকাল।
[26] For those who have done good is the best (reward, i.e. Paradise) and even more (i.e. having the honour of glancing at the Countenance of Allâh swt) Neither darkness nor dust nor any humiliating disgrace shall cover their faces. They are the dwellers of Paradise, they will abide therein forever.
[27] وَالَّذينَ كَسَبُوا السَّيِّـٔاتِ جَزاءُ سَيِّئَةٍ بِمِثلِها وَتَرهَقُهُم ذِلَّةٌ ۖ ما لَهُم مِنَ اللَّهِ مِن عاصِمٍ ۖ كَأَنَّما أُغشِيَت وُجوهُهُم قِطَعًا مِنَ الَّيلِ مُظلِمًا ۚ أُولٰئِكَ أَصحٰبُ النّارِ ۖ هُم فيها خٰلِدونَ
[27] আর যারা সঞ্চয় করেছে অকল্যাণ অসৎ কর্মের বদলায় সে পরিমাণ অপমান তাদের চেহারাকে আবৃত করে ফেলবে। কেউ নেই তাদেরকে বাঁচাতে পারে আল্লাহর হাত থেকে। তাদের মুখমন্ডল যেন ঢেকে দেয়া হয়েছে আধাঁর রাতের টুকরো দিয়ে। এরা হল দোযখবাসী। এরা এতেই থাকবে অনন্তকাল।
[27] And those who have earned evil deeds, the recompense of an evil deed is the like thereof, and humiliating disgrace will cover them (their faces). No defender will they have from Allâh. Their faces will be covered, as it were with pieces from the darkness of night. They are dwellers of the Fire, they will abide therein forever.
[28] وَيَومَ نَحشُرُهُم جَميعًا ثُمَّ نَقولُ لِلَّذينَ أَشرَكوا مَكانَكُم أَنتُم وَشُرَكاؤُكُم ۚ فَزَيَّلنا بَينَهُم ۖ وَقالَ شُرَكاؤُهُم ما كُنتُم إِيّانا تَعبُدونَ
[28] আর যেদিন আমি তাদের সবাইকে সমবেত করব; আর যারা শেরক করত তাদেরকে বলবঃ তোমরা এবং তোমাদের শরীকরা নিজ নিজ জায়গায় দাঁড়িয়ে যাও-অতঃপর তাদেরকে পারস্পরিক বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দেব, তখন তাদের শরীকরা বলবে, তোমরা তো আমাদের উপাসনা-বন্দেগী করনি।
[28] And the Day whereon We shall gather them all together, then We shall say to those who did set partners in worship with Us: "Stop at your place! You and your partners (whom you had worshipped in the worldly life)." then We shall separate them, and their (Allâh's so-called) partners shall say: "It was not us that you used to worship."
[29] فَكَفىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهيدًا بَينَنا وَبَينَكُم إِن كُنّا عَن عِبادَتِكُم لَغٰفِلينَ
[29] বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ আমাদের ও তোমাদের মাঝে সাক্ষী হিসাবে যথেষ্ট। আমরা তোমাদের বন্দেগী সম্পর্কে জানতাম না।
[29] "So sufficient is Allâh for a witness between us and you, that We indeed knew nothing of your worship of us."
[30] هُنالِكَ تَبلوا كُلُّ نَفسٍ ما أَسلَفَت ۚ وَرُدّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ مَولىٰهُمُ الحَقِّ ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنهُم ما كانوا يَفتَرونَ
[30] সেখানে প্রত্যেকে যাচাই করে নিতে পারবে যা কিছু সে ইতিপূর্বে করেছিল এবং আল্লাহর প্রতি প্রত্যাবর্তন করবে যিনি তাদের প্রকৃত মালিক, আর তাদের কাছ থেকে দূরে যেতে থাকবে যারা মিথ্যা বলত।
[30] There! Every person will know (exactly) what he had earned before, and they will be brought back to Allâh, their rightful Maula (Lord), and their invented false deities will vanish from them.
[31] قُل مَن يَرزُقُكُم مِنَ السَّماءِ وَالأَرضِ أَمَّن يَملِكُ السَّمعَ وَالأَبصٰرَ وَمَن يُخرِجُ الحَىَّ مِنَ المَيِّتِ وَيُخرِجُ المَيِّتَ مِنَ الحَىِّ وَمَن يُدَبِّرُ الأَمرَ ۚ فَسَيَقولونَ اللَّهُ ۚ فَقُل أَفَلا تَتَّقونَ
[31] তুমি জিজ্ঞেস কর, কে রুযী দান করে তোমাদেরকে আসমান থেকে ও যমীন থেকে, কিংবা কে তোমাদের কান ও চোখের মালিক? তাছাড়া কে জীবিতকে মৃতের ভেতর থেকে বের করেন এবং কেইবা মৃতকে জীবিতের মধ্য থেকে বের করেন? কে করেন কর্ম সম্পাদনের ব্যবস্থাপনা? তখন তারা বলে উঠবে, আল্লাহ! তখন তুমি বলো তারপরেও ভয় করছ না?
[31] Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Or who owns hearing and sight? And who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs?" They will say: "Allâh." Say: "Will you not then be afraid of Allâh's Punishment (for setting up rivals in worship with Allâh)?"
[32] فَذٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ الحَقُّ ۖ فَماذا بَعدَ الحَقِّ إِلَّا الضَّلٰلُ ۖ فَأَنّىٰ تُصرَفونَ
[32] অতএব, এ আল্লাহই তোমাদের প্রকৃত পালনকর্তা। আর সত্য প্রকাশের পরে (উদভ্রান্ত ঘুরার মাঝে) কি রয়েছে গোমরাহী ছাড়া? সুতরাং কোথায় ঘুরছ?
[32] Such is Allâh, your Lord in truth. So after the truth, what else can there be, save error? How then are you turned away?
[33] كَذٰلِكَ حَقَّت كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذينَ فَسَقوا أَنَّهُم لا يُؤمِنونَ
[33] এমনিভাবে সপ্রমাণিত হয়ে গেছে তোমার পরওয়ারদেগারের বাণী সেসব নাফরমানের ব্যাপারে যে, এরা ঈমান আনবে না।
[33] Thus is the Word of your Lord justified against those who rebel (disobey Allâh) that they will not believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and in Muhammad SAW as the Messenger of Allâh)
[34] قُل هَل مِن شُرَكائِكُم مَن يَبدَؤُا۟ الخَلقَ ثُمَّ يُعيدُهُ ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ يَبدَؤُا۟ الخَلقَ ثُمَّ يُعيدُهُ ۖ فَأَنّىٰ تُؤفَكونَ
[34] বল, আছে কি কেউ তোমাদের শরীকদের মাঝে যে সৃষ্টি কে পয়দা করতে পারে এবং আবার জীবিত করতে পারে? বল, আল্লাহই প্রথমবার সৃষ্টি করেন এবং অতঃপর তার পুনরুদ্ভব করবেন। অতএব, কোথায় ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছে?
[34] Say: "Is there of your (Allâh's so-called) partners one that originates the creation and then repeats it?" Say: "Allâh originates the creation and then He repeats it. Then how are you deluded away (from the truth)?"
[35] قُل هَل مِن شُرَكائِكُم مَن يَهدى إِلَى الحَقِّ ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ يَهدى لِلحَقِّ ۗ أَفَمَن يَهدى إِلَى الحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَن يُتَّبَعَ أَمَّن لا يَهِدّى إِلّا أَن يُهدىٰ ۖ فَما لَكُم كَيفَ تَحكُمونَ
[35] জিজ্ঞেস কর, আছে কি কেউ তোমাদের শরীকদের মধ্যে যে সত্য-সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শন করবে? বল, আল্লাহই সত্য-সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শন করেন, সুতরাং এমন যে লোক সঠিক পথ দেখাবে তার কথা মান্য করা কিংবা যে লোক নিজে নিজে পথ খুঁজে পায় না, তাকে পথ দেখানো কর্তব্য। অতএব, তোমাদের কি হল, কেমন তোমাদের বিচার?
[35] Say: "Is there of your (Allâh's so-called) partners one that guides to the truth?" Say: "It is Allâh Who guides to the truth. Is then He, Who guides to the truth, more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? Then, what is the matter with you? How judge you?"
[36] وَما يَتَّبِعُ أَكثَرُهُم إِلّا ظَنًّا ۚ إِنَّ الظَّنَّ لا يُغنى مِنَ الحَقِّ شَيـًٔا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَليمٌ بِما يَفعَلونَ
[36] বস্তুতঃ তাদের অধিকাংশই শুধু আন্দাজ-অনুমানের উপর চলে, অথচ আন্দাজ-অনুমান সত্যের বেলায় কোন কাজেই আসে না। আল্লাহ ভাল করেই জানেন, তারা যা কিছু করে।
[36] And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, Allâh is All-Aware of what they do.
[37] وَما كانَ هٰذَا القُرءانُ أَن يُفتَرىٰ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ وَلٰكِن تَصديقَ الَّذى بَينَ يَدَيهِ وَتَفصيلَ الكِتٰبِ لا رَيبَ فيهِ مِن رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ
[37] আর কোরআন সে জিনিস নয় যে, আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কেউ তা বানিয়ে নেবে। অবশ্য এটি পূর্ববর্তী কালামের সত্যায়ন করে এবং সে সমস্ত বিষয়ের বিশ্লেষণ দান করে যা তোমার প্রতি দেয়া হয়েছে, যাতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই-তোমার বিশ্বপালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে।
[37] And this Qur'ân is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allâh (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurât (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. laws decreed for mankind) - wherein there is no doubt from the the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinn,and all that exists).
[38] أَم يَقولونَ افتَرىٰهُ ۖ قُل فَأتوا بِسورَةٍ مِثلِهِ وَادعوا مَنِ استَطَعتُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ
[38] মানুষ কি বলে যে, এটি বানিয়ে এনেছ? বলে দাও, তোমরা নিয়ে এসো একটিই সূরা, আর ডেকে নাও, যাদেরকে নিতে সক্ষম হও আল্লাহ ব্যতীত, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাক।
[38] Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a Sûrah (chapter) like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can, besides Allâh, if you are truthful!"
[39] بَل كَذَّبوا بِما لَم يُحيطوا بِعِلمِهِ وَلَمّا يَأتِهِم تَأويلُهُ ۚ كَذٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم ۖ فَانظُر كَيفَ كانَ عٰقِبَةُ الظّٰلِمينَ
[39] কিন্তু কথা হল এই যে, তারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করতে আরম্ভ করেছে যাকে বুঝতে, তারা অক্ষম। অথচ এখনো এর বিশ্লেষণ আসেনি। এমনিভাবে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা। অতএব, লক্ষ্য করে দেখ, কেমন হয়েছে পরিণতি।
[39] Nay, they have belied; the knowledge whereof they could not comprehend and what has not yet been fulfilled (i.e. their punishment). Thus those before them did belie. Then see what was the end of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)!
[40] وَمِنهُم مَن يُؤمِنُ بِهِ وَمِنهُم مَن لا يُؤمِنُ بِهِ ۚ وَرَبُّكَ أَعلَمُ بِالمُفسِدينَ
[40] আর তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ কোরআনকে বিশ্বাস করবে এবং কেউ কেউ বিশ্বাস করবে না। বস্তুতঃ তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার যথার্থই জানেন দুরাচারদিগকে।
[40] And of them there are some who believe therein, and of them there are some who believe not therein, and your Lord is All-Aware of the Mufsidûn (evil-doers, liars).
[41] وَإِن كَذَّبوكَ فَقُل لى عَمَلى وَلَكُم عَمَلُكُم ۖ أَنتُم بَريـٔونَ مِمّا أَعمَلُ وَأَنا۠ بَريءٌ مِمّا تَعمَلونَ
[41] আর যদি তোমাকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করে, তবে বল, আমার জন্য আমার কর্ম, আর তোমাদের জন্য তোমাদের কর্ম। তোমাদের দায়-দায়িত্ব নেই আমার কর্মের উপর এবং আমারও দায়-দায়িত্ব নেই তোমরা যা কর সেজন্য।
[41] And if they belie you, say: "For me are my deeds and for you are your deeds! You are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what you do!"
[42] وَمِنهُم مَن يَستَمِعونَ إِلَيكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسمِعُ الصُّمَّ وَلَو كانوا لا يَعقِلونَ
[42] তাদের কেউ কেউ কান রাখে তোমাদের প্রতি; তুমি বধিরদেরকে কি শোনাবে যদি তাদের বিবেক-বুদ্ধি না থাকে!
[42] And among them are some who listen to you, but can you make the deaf to hear,— even though they apprehend not?
[43] وَمِنهُم مَن يَنظُرُ إِلَيكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تَهدِى العُمىَ وَلَو كانوا لا يُبصِرونَ
[43] আবার তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ তোমাদের প্রতি দৃষ্টিনিবদ্ধ রাখে; তুমি অন্ধদেরকে কি পথ দেখাবে যদি তারা মোটেও দেখতে না পারে।
[43] And among them are some who look at you, but can you guide the blind,— even though they see not?
[44] إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَظلِمُ النّاسَ شَيـًٔا وَلٰكِنَّ النّاسَ أَنفُسَهُم يَظلِمونَ
[44] আল্লাহ জুলুম করেন না মানুষের উপর, বরং মানুষ নিজেই নিজের উপর জুলুম করে।
[44] Truly! Allâh wrongs not mankind in aught; but mankind wrong themselves.
[45] وَيَومَ يَحشُرُهُم كَأَن لَم يَلبَثوا إِلّا ساعَةً مِنَ النَّهارِ يَتَعارَفونَ بَينَهُم ۚ قَد خَسِرَ الَّذينَ كَذَّبوا بِلِقاءِ اللَّهِ وَما كانوا مُهتَدينَ
[45] আর যেদিন তাদেরকে সমবেত করা হবে, যেন তারা অবস্থান করেনি, তবে দিনের একদন্ড একজন অপরজনকে চিনবে। নিঃসন্দেহে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে যারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে আল্লাহর সাথে সাক্ষাতকে এবং সরলপথে আসেনি।
[45] And on the Day when He shall gather (resurrect) them together, (it will be) as if they had not stayed (in the life of this world and graves) but an hour of a day. They will recognise each other. Ruined indeed will be those who denied the meeting with Allâh, and were not guided.
[46] وَإِمّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعضَ الَّذى نَعِدُهُم أَو نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَينا مَرجِعُهُم ثُمَّ اللَّهُ شَهيدٌ عَلىٰ ما يَفعَلونَ
[46] আর যদি আমি দেখাই তোমাকে সে ওয়াদাসমূহের মধ্য থেকে কোন কিছু যা আমি তাদের সাথে করেছি, অথবা তোমাকে মৃত্যুদান করি, যাহোক, আমার কাছেই তাদেরকে প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ সে সমস্ত কর্মের সাক্ষী যা তারা করে।
[46] Whether We show you (in your lifetime, O Muhammad SAW) some of what We promise them (the torment), - or We cause you to die, - still unto Us is their return, and moreover Allâh is Witness over what they used to do.
[47] وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسولٌ ۖ فَإِذا جاءَ رَسولُهُم قُضِىَ بَينَهُم بِالقِسطِ وَهُم لا يُظلَمونَ
[47] আর প্রত্যেক সম্প্রদায়ের একেকজন রসূল রয়েছে। যখন তাদের কাছে তাদের রসূল ন্যায়দন্ডসহ উপস্থিত হল, তখন আর তাদের উপর জুলুম হয় না।
[47] And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged.
[48] وَيَقولونَ مَتىٰ هٰذَا الوَعدُ إِن كُنتُم صٰدِقينَ
[48] তারা আরো বলে, এ ওয়াদা কবে আসবে, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাক?
[48] And they say: "When will be this promise (the torment or the Day of Resurrection), - if you speak the truth?"
[49] قُل لا أَملِكُ لِنَفسى ضَرًّا وَلا نَفعًا إِلّا ما شاءَ اللَّهُ ۗ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ ۚ إِذا جاءَ أَجَلُهُم فَلا يَستَـٔخِرونَ ساعَةً ۖ وَلا يَستَقدِمونَ
[49] তুমি বল, আমি আমার নিজের ক্ষতি কিংবা লাভেরও মালিক নই, কিন্তু আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা করেন। প্রত্যেক সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যই একেকটি ওয়াদা রয়েছে, যখন তাদের সে ওয়াদা এসে পৌঁছে যাবে, তখন না একদন্ড পেছনে সরতে পারবে, না সামনে ফসকাতে পারবে,।
[49] Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except what Allâh may will. For every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a term appointed; when their term comes, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment)." (Tafsir Al-Qurtubî).
[50] قُل أَرَءَيتُم إِن أَتىٰكُم عَذابُهُ بَيٰتًا أَو نَهارًا ماذا يَستَعجِلُ مِنهُ المُجرِمونَ
[50] তুমি বল, আচ্ছা দেখ তো দেখি, যদি তোমাদের উপর তার আযাব রাতারাতি অথবা দিনের বেলায় এসে পৌঁছে যায়, তবে এর আগে পাপীরা কি করবে?
[50] Say: "Tell me, - if His torment should come to you by night or by day, - which portion thereof would the Mujrimûn (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals) hasten on ?"
[51] أَثُمَّ إِذا ما وَقَعَ ءامَنتُم بِهِ ۚ ءالـٰٔنَ وَقَد كُنتُم بِهِ تَستَعجِلونَ
[51] তাহলে কি আযাব সংঘটিত হয়ে যাবার পর এর প্রতি বিশ্বাস করবে? এখন স্বীকার করলে? অথচ তোমরা এরই তাকাদা করতে?
[51] Is it then, that when it has actually befallen, you will believe in it? What! Now (you believe)? And you used (aforetime) to hasten it on!"
[52] ثُمَّ قيلَ لِلَّذينَ ظَلَموا ذوقوا عَذابَ الخُلدِ هَل تُجزَونَ إِلّا بِما كُنتُم تَكسِبونَ
[52] অতঃপর বলা হবে, গোনাহগারদিগকে, ভোগ করতে থাক অনন্ত আযাব-তোমরা যা কিছু করতে তার তাই প্রতিফল।
[52] Then it will be said to them who wronged themselves: "Taste you the everlasting torment! Are you recompensed (aught) save what you used to earn?"
[53] ۞ وَيَستَنبِـٔونَكَ أَحَقٌّ هُوَ ۖ قُل إى وَرَبّى إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ ۖ وَما أَنتُم بِمُعجِزينَ
[53] আর তোমার কাছে সংবাদ জিজ্ঞেস করে, এটা কি সত্য ? বলে দাও, অবশ্যই আমার পরওয়ারদেগারের কসম এটা সত্য। আর তোমরা পরিশ্রান্ত করে দিতে পারবে না।
[53] And they ask you (O Muhammad SAW) to inform them (saying): "Is it true (i.e. the torment and the establishment of the Hour; - the Day of Resurrection)?" Say: "Yes! By my Lord! It is the very truth! and you cannot escape it!"
[54] وَلَو أَنَّ لِكُلِّ نَفسٍ ظَلَمَت ما فِى الأَرضِ لَافتَدَت بِهِ ۗ وَأَسَرُّوا النَّدامَةَ لَمّا رَأَوُا العَذابَ ۖ وَقُضِىَ بَينَهُم بِالقِسطِ ۚ وَهُم لا يُظلَمونَ
[54] বস্তুতঃ যদি প্রত্যেক গোনাহগারের কাছে এত পরিমাণ থাকে যা আছে সমগ্র যমীনের মাঝে, আর অবশ্যই যদি সেগুলো নিজের মুক্তির বিনিময়ে দিতে চাইবে আর গোপনে গোপনে অনুতাপ করবে, যখন আযাব দেখবে। বস্তুতঃ তাদের জন্য সিদ্ধান্ত হবে ন্যায়সঙ্গত এবং তাদের উপর জুলম হবে না।
[54] And if every person who had wronged (by disbelieving in Allâh and by worshipping others besides Allâh), possessed all that is on earth, and sought to ransom himself therewith (it will not be accepted), and they would feel in their hearts regret when they see the torment, and they will be judged with justice, and no wrong will be done unto them.
[55] أَلا إِنَّ لِلَّهِ ما فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۗ أَلا إِنَّ وَعدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَهُم لا يَعلَمونَ
[55] শুনে রাখ, যা কিছু রয়েছে আসমানসমূহে ও যমীনে সবই আল্লাহর। শুনে রাখ, আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য। তবে অনেকেই জানে না।
[55] No doubt, surely, all that is in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allâh. No doubt, surely, Allâh's Promise is true. But most of them know not.
[56] هُوَ يُحيۦ وَيُميتُ وَإِلَيهِ تُرجَعونَ
[56] তিনিই জীবন ও মরণ দান করেন এবং তাঁরই কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে।
[56] It is He Who gives life, and causes death, and to Him you (all) shall return.
[57] يٰأَيُّهَا النّاسُ قَد جاءَتكُم مَوعِظَةٌ مِن رَبِّكُم وَشِفاءٌ لِما فِى الصُّدورِ وَهُدًى وَرَحمَةٌ لِلمُؤمِنينَ
[57] হে মানবকুল, তোমাদের কাছে উপদেশবানী এসেছে তোমাদের পরওয়ারদেগারের পক্ষ থেকে এবং অন্তরের রোগের নিরাময়, হেদায়েত ও রহমত মুসলমানদের জন্য।
[57] O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur'an, enjoining all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences,) Which is in your breasts, - a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things) for the believers.
[58] قُل بِفَضلِ اللَّهِ وَبِرَحمَتِهِ فَبِذٰلِكَ فَليَفرَحوا هُوَ خَيرٌ مِمّا يَجمَعونَ
[58] বল, আল্লাহর দয়া ও মেহেরবাণীতে। সুতরাং এরই প্রতি তাদের সন্তুষ্ট থাকা উচিৎ। এটিই উত্তম সে সমুদয় থেকে যা সঞ্চয় করছ।
[58] Say: "In the Bounty of Allâh, and in His Mercy (i.e. Islâm and the Qur'ân); -therein let them rejoice." That is better than what (the wealth) they amass
[59] قُل أَرَءَيتُم ما أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ لَكُم مِن رِزقٍ فَجَعَلتُم مِنهُ حَرامًا وَحَلٰلًا قُل ءاللَّهُ أَذِنَ لَكُم ۖ أَم عَلَى اللَّهِ تَفتَرونَ
[59] বল, আচ্ছা নিজেই লক্ষ্য করে দেখ, যা কিছু আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্য রিযিক হিসাবে অবতীর্ণ করেছেন, তোমরা সেগুলোর মধ্য থেকে কোনটাকে হারাম আর কোনটাকে হালাল সাব্যস্ত করেছ? বল, তোমাদের কি আল্লাহ নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন, নাকি আল্লাহর উপর অপবাদ আরোপ করছ?
[59] Say (O Muhammad SAW to these polytheists): "Tell me, what provision Allâh has sent down to you! And you have made of it lawful and unlawful." Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Has Allâh permitted you (to do so), or do you invent a lie against Allâh?"
[60] وَما ظَنُّ الَّذينَ يَفتَرونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الكَذِبَ يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذو فَضلٍ عَلَى النّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَهُم لا يَشكُرونَ
[60] আর আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যা অপবাদ আরোপকারীদের কি ধারণা কেয়ামত সম্পর্কে? আল্লাহ তো মানুষের প্রতি অনুগ্রহই করেন, কিন্তু অনেকেই কৃতজ্ঞতা স্বীকার করে না।
[60] And what think those who invent lie against Allâh, on the Day of Resurrection? [i.e. Do they think that they will be forgiven and excused! Nay, they will have an eternal punishment in the Fire of Hell]. Truly, Allâh is full of Bounty to mankind, but most of them are ungrateful
[61] وَما تَكونُ فى شَأنٍ وَما تَتلوا مِنهُ مِن قُرءانٍ وَلا تَعمَلونَ مِن عَمَلٍ إِلّا كُنّا عَلَيكُم شُهودًا إِذ تُفيضونَ فيهِ ۚ وَما يَعزُبُ عَن رَبِّكَ مِن مِثقالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِى الأَرضِ وَلا فِى السَّماءِ وَلا أَصغَرَ مِن ذٰلِكَ وَلا أَكبَرَ إِلّا فى كِتٰبٍ مُبينٍ
[61] বস্তুতঃ যে কোন অবস্থাতেই তুমি থাক এবং কোরআনের যে কোন অংশ থেকেই পাঠ করা কিংবা যে কোন কাজই তোমরা কর অথচ আমি তোমাদের নিকটে উপস্থিত থাকি যখন তোমরা তাতে আত্ননিয়োগ কর। আর তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার থেকে গোপন থাকে না একটি কনাও, না যমীনের এবং না আসমানের। না এর চেয়ে ক্ষুদ্র কোন কিছু আছে, না বড় যা এই প্রকৃষ্ট কিতাবে নেই।
[61] Nither you (O Muhammad SAW) do any deed nor recite any portion of the Qur’ân, - nor you (mankind) do any deed (good or evil), but We are Witness thereof, when you are doing it. And nothing is hidden from your Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom (or small ant) on the earth or in the heaven. Not what is less than that or what is greater than that but is (written) in a Clear Record. (Tafsir At-Tabarî).
[62] أَلا إِنَّ أَولِياءَ اللَّهِ لا خَوفٌ عَلَيهِم وَلا هُم يَحزَنونَ
[62] মনে রেখো যারা আল্লাহর বন্ধু, তাদের না কোন ভয় ভীতি আছে, না তারা চিন্তান্বিত হবে।
[62] No doubt! Verily, the Auliyâ' of Allâh [i.e. those who believe in the Oneness of Allâh and fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which he has forbidden), and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve, -
[63] الَّذينَ ءامَنوا وَكانوا يَتَّقونَ
[63] যারা ঈমান এনেছে এবং ভয় করতে রয়েছে।
[63] Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism), and used to fear Allâh much (by abstaining from evil deeds and sins and by doing righteous deeds)
[64] لَهُمُ البُشرىٰ فِى الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا وَفِى الءاخِرَةِ ۚ لا تَبديلَ لِكَلِمٰتِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الفَوزُ العَظيمُ
[64] তাদের জন্য সুসংবাদ পার্থিব জীবনে ও পরকালীন জীবনে। আল্লাহর কথার কখনো হের-ফের হয় না। এটাই হল মহা সফলতা।
[64] For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present world (i.e. through a righteous dream seen by the person himself or shown to others), and in the Hereafter. No change can there be in the Words of Allâh, this is indeed the supreme success.
[65] وَلا يَحزُنكَ قَولُهُم ۘ إِنَّ العِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَميعًا ۚ هُوَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ
[65] আর তাদের কথায় দুঃখ নিয়ো না। আসলে সমস্ত ক্ষমতা আল্লাহর। তিনিই শ্রবণকারী, সর্বজ্ঞ।
[65] And let not their speech grieve you (O Muhammad SAW), for all power and honour belong to Allâh. He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
[66] أَلا إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَن فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَن فِى الأَرضِ ۗ وَما يَتَّبِعُ الَّذينَ يَدعونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ شُرَكاءَ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِن هُم إِلّا يَخرُصونَ
[66] শুনছ, আসমানসমূহে ও যমীনে যা কিছু রয়েছে সবই আল্লাহর। আর এরা যারা আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে শরীকদের উপাসনার পেছনে পড়ে আছে-তা আসলে কিছুই নয়। এরা নিজেরই কল্পনার পেছনে পড়ে রয়েছে এবং এছাড়া আর কিছু নয় যে, এরা বুদ্ধি খাটাচ্ছে।
[66] No doubt! Verily, to Allâh belongs whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth. And those who worship and invoke others besides Allâh, in fact they follow not the (Allâh's so-called) partners, they follow only a conjecture and they only invent lies.
[67] هُوَ الَّذى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الَّيلَ لِتَسكُنوا فيهِ وَالنَّهارَ مُبصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ فى ذٰلِكَ لَءايٰتٍ لِقَومٍ يَسمَعونَ
[67] তিনি তোমাদের জন্য তৈরী করেছেন রাত, যাতে করে তোমরা তাতে প্রশান্তি লাভ করতে পার, আর দিন দিয়েছেন দর্শন করার জন্য। নিঃসন্দেহে এতে নিদর্শন রয়েছে সে সব লোকের জন্য যারা শ্রবণ করে।
[67] He it is Who has appointed for you the night that you may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you). Verily, in this are Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) for a people who listen (i.e. those who think deeply).
[68] قالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ وَلَدًا ۗ سُبحٰنَهُ ۖ هُوَ الغَنِىُّ ۖ لَهُ ما فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَما فِى الأَرضِ ۚ إِن عِندَكُم مِن سُلطٰنٍ بِهٰذا ۚ أَتَقولونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ ما لا تَعلَمونَ
[68] তারা বলে, আল্লাহ পুত্র সাব্যস্ত করে নিয়েছেন-তিনি পবিত্র, তিনি অমুখাপেক্ষী। যাকিছু রয়েছে আসমান সমূহে ও যমীনে সবই তাঁর। তোমাদের কাছে তার কোন সনদ নেই। কেন তোমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ কর-যার কোন সনদই তোমাদের কাছে নেই?
[68] They (Jews, Christians and pagans) say: "Allâh has begotten a son (children)." Glory is to Him! He is Rich (Free of all needs). His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. No warrant you have for this. Do you say against Allâh what you know not.
[69] قُل إِنَّ الَّذينَ يَفتَرونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الكَذِبَ لا يُفلِحونَ
[69] বলে দাও, যারা এরূপ করে তারা অব্যাহতি পায় না।
[69] Say: "Verily, those who invent a lie against Allâh will never be successful" -
[70] مَتٰعٌ فِى الدُّنيا ثُمَّ إِلَينا مَرجِعُهُم ثُمَّ نُذيقُهُمُ العَذابَ الشَّديدَ بِما كانوا يَكفُرونَ
[70] পার্থিবজীবনে সামান্যই লাভ, অতঃপর আমার নিকট প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে। তখন আমি তাদেরকে আস্বাদন করাব কঠিন আযাব-তাদেরই কৃত কুফরীর বদলাতে।
[70] (A brief) enjoyment in this world! - and then unto Us will be their return, then We shall make them taste the severest torment because they used to disbelieve [in Allâh, belie His Messengers, deny and challenge His Ayât (proofs, signs, verses, etc.)].
[71] ۞ وَاتلُ عَلَيهِم نَبَأَ نوحٍ إِذ قالَ لِقَومِهِ يٰقَومِ إِن كانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيكُم مَقامى وَتَذكيرى بِـٔايٰتِ اللَّهِ فَعَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلتُ فَأَجمِعوا أَمرَكُم وَشُرَكاءَكُم ثُمَّ لا يَكُن أَمرُكُم عَلَيكُم غُمَّةً ثُمَّ اقضوا إِلَىَّ وَلا تُنظِرونِ
[71] আর তাদেরকে শুনিয়ে দাও নূহের অবস্থা যখন সে স্বীয় সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, যদি তোমাদের মাঝে আমার অবস্থিতি এবং আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহের মাধ্যমে নসীহত করা ভারী বলে মনে হয়ে থাকে, তবে আমি আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করছি। এখন তোমরা সবাই মিলে নিজেরদের কর্ম সাব্যস্ত কর এবং এতে তোমাদের শরীকদেরকে সমবেত করে নাও, যাতে তোমাদের মাঝে নিজেদের কাজের ব্যাপারে কোন সন্দেহ-সংশয় না থাকে। অতঃপর আমার সম্পর্কে যা কিছু করার করে ফেল এবং আমাকে অব্যাহতি দিও না।
[71] And recite to them the news of Nûh (Noah). When he said to his people: "O my people, if my stay (with you), and my reminding (you) of the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh is hard on you, then I put my trust in Allâh. So devise your plot, you and your partners, and let not your plot be in doubt for you. Then pass your sentence on me and give me no respite.
[72] فَإِن تَوَلَّيتُم فَما سَأَلتُكُم مِن أَجرٍ ۖ إِن أَجرِىَ إِلّا عَلَى اللَّهِ ۖ وَأُمِرتُ أَن أَكونَ مِنَ المُسلِمينَ
[72] তারপরও যদি বিমুখতা অবলম্বন কর, তবে আমি তোমাদের কাছে কোন রকম বিনিময় কামনা করি না। আমার বিনিময় হল আল্লাহর দায়িত্বে। আর আমার প্রতি নির্দেশ রয়েছে যেন আমি আনুগত্য অবলম্বন করি।
[72] "But if you turn away [from accepting my doctrine of Islâmic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allâh], then no reward have I asked of you, my reward is only from Allâh, and I have been commanded to be of the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh's Will)."
[73] فَكَذَّبوهُ فَنَجَّينٰهُ وَمَن مَعَهُ فِى الفُلكِ وَجَعَلنٰهُم خَلٰئِفَ وَأَغرَقنَا الَّذينَ كَذَّبوا بِـٔايٰتِنا ۖ فَانظُر كَيفَ كانَ عٰقِبَةُ المُنذَرينَ
[73] তারপরও এরা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করল। সুতরাং তাকে এবং তার সাথে নৌকায় যারা ছিল তাদের কে বাঁচিয়ে নিয়েছি এবং যথাস্থানে আবাদ করেছি। আর তাদেরকে ডুবিয়ে দিয়েছি যারা আমার কথাকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে। সুতরাং লক্ষ্য কর, কেমন পরিণতি ঘটেছে তাদের যাদেরকে ভীতি প্রদর্শন করা হয়েছিল।
[73] They denied him, but We delivered him, and those with him in the ship, and We made them generations replacing one after another, while We drowned those who belied Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). Then see what was the end of those who were warned.
[74] ثُمَّ بَعَثنا مِن بَعدِهِ رُسُلًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِم فَجاءوهُم بِالبَيِّنٰتِ فَما كانوا لِيُؤمِنوا بِما كَذَّبوا بِهِ مِن قَبلُ ۚ كَذٰلِكَ نَطبَعُ عَلىٰ قُلوبِ المُعتَدينَ
[74] অনন্তর আমি নূহের পরে বহু নবী-রসূল পাঠিয়েছি তাদের সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতি। তারপর তাদের কাছে তারা প্রকাশ্য দলীল-প্রমাণ উপস্থাপন করেছে, কিন্তু তাদের দ্বারা এমনটি হয়নি যে, ঈমান আনবে সে ব্যাপারে, যাকে তারা ইতিপূর্বে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছিল। এভাবেই আমি মোহর এঁটে দেই সীমালংঘনকারীদের অন্তরসমূহের উপর।
[74] Then after him We sent Messengers to their people, They brought them clear proofs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus We seal the hearts of the transgressors (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allâh and disobey Him).
[75] ثُمَّ بَعَثنا مِن بَعدِهِم موسىٰ وَهٰرونَ إِلىٰ فِرعَونَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِ بِـٔايٰتِنا فَاستَكبَروا وَكانوا قَومًا مُجرِمينَ
[75] অতঃপর তাদের পেছনে পাঠিয়েছি আমি মূসা ও হারুনকে, ফেরাউন ও তার সর্দারের প্রতি স্বীয় নির্দেশাবলী সহকারে। অথচ তারা অহংকার করতে আরম্ভ করেছে।
[75] Then after them We sent Mûsa (Moses) and Hârûn (Aaron) to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs with Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). But they behaved arrogantly and were Mujrimûn (disbelievers, sinners, polytheists, criminals, etc.) folk.
[76] فَلَمّا جاءَهُمُ الحَقُّ مِن عِندِنا قالوا إِنَّ هٰذا لَسِحرٌ مُبينٌ
[76] বস্তুতঃ তারা ছিল গোনাহগার। তারপর আমার পক্ষ থেকে যখন তাদের কাছে সত্য বিষয় উপস্থিত হল, তখন বলতে লাগলো, এগুলো তো প্রকাশ্য যাদু।
[76] So when came to them the truth from Us, they said: "This is indeed clear magic."
[77] قالَ موسىٰ أَتَقولونَ لِلحَقِّ لَمّا جاءَكُم ۖ أَسِحرٌ هٰذا وَلا يُفلِحُ السّٰحِرونَ
[77] মূসা বলল, সত্যের ব্যাপারে একথা বলছ, তা তোমাদের কাছে পৌঁছার পর? একি যাদু? অথচ যারা যাদুকর, তারা সফল হতে পারে না।
[77] Mûsa (Moses) said: "Say you (this) about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? But the magicians will never be successful."
[78] قالوا أَجِئتَنا لِتَلفِتَنا عَمّا وَجَدنا عَلَيهِ ءاباءَنا وَتَكونَ لَكُمَا الكِبرِياءُ فِى الأَرضِ وَما نَحنُ لَكُما بِمُؤمِنينَ
[78] তারা বলল, তুমি কি আমাদেরকে সে পথ থেকে ফিরিয়ে দিতে এসেছ যাতে আমরা পেয়েছি আমাদের বাপ-দাদাদেরকে? আর যাতে তোমরা দুইজন এদেশের সর্দারী পেয়ে যেতে পার? আমরা তোমাদেরকে কিছুতেই মানব না।
[78] They said: "Have you come to us to turn us away from that (Faith) we found our fathers following, - and that you two may have greatness in the land? We are not going to believe you two!"
[79] وَقالَ فِرعَونُ ائتونى بِكُلِّ سٰحِرٍ عَليمٍ
[79] আর ফেরাউন বলল, আমার কাছে নিয়ে এস সুদক্ষ যাদুকরদিগকে।
[79] And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring me every well-versed sorcerer."
[80] فَلَمّا جاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قالَ لَهُم موسىٰ أَلقوا ما أَنتُم مُلقونَ
[80] তারপর যখন যাদুকররা এল, মূসা তাদেরকে বলল, নিক্ষেপ কর, তোমরা যা কিছু নিক্ষেপ করে থাক।
[80] And when the sorcerers came, Mûsa (Moses) said to them: "Cast down what you want to cast!"
[81] فَلَمّا أَلقَوا قالَ موسىٰ ما جِئتُم بِهِ السِّحرُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَيُبطِلُهُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُصلِحُ عَمَلَ المُفسِدينَ
[81] অতঃপর যখন তারা নিক্ষেপ করল, মূসা বলল, যা কিছু তোমরা এনেছ তা সবই যাদু-এবার আল্লাহ এসব ভন্ডুল করে দিচ্ছেন। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ দুস্কর্মীদের কর্মকে সুষ্ঠুতা দান করেন না।
[81] Then when they had cast down, Mûsa (Moses) said: "What you have brought is sorcery, Allâh will surely make it of no effect. Verily, Allâh does not set right the work of Al-Mufsidûn (the evil-doers, corrupters).
[82] وَيُحِقُّ اللَّهُ الحَقَّ بِكَلِمٰتِهِ وَلَو كَرِهَ المُجرِمونَ
[82] আল্লাহ সত্যকে সত্যে পরিণত করেন স্বীয় নির্দেশে যদিও পাপীদের তা মনঃপুত নয়।
[82] "And Allâh will establish and make apparent the truth by His Words, however much the Mujrimûn (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) may hate it."
[83] فَما ءامَنَ لِموسىٰ إِلّا ذُرِّيَّةٌ مِن قَومِهِ عَلىٰ خَوفٍ مِن فِرعَونَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِم أَن يَفتِنَهُم ۚ وَإِنَّ فِرعَونَ لَعالٍ فِى الأَرضِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنَ المُسرِفينَ
[83] আর কেউ ঈমান আনল না মূসার প্রতি তাঁর কওমের কতিপয় বালক ছাড়া-ফেরাউন ও তার সর্দারদের ভয়ে যে, এরা না আবার কোন বিপদে ফেলে দেয়। ফেরাউন দেশময় কর্তêৃত্বের শিখরে আরোহণ করেছিল। আর সে তার হাত ছেড়ে রেখেছিল।
[83] But none believed in Mûsa (Moses) except the offspring of his people, because of the fear of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and verily, Fir'aun (Pharaoh) was an arrogant tyrant on the earth, he was indeed one of the Musrifûn (polytheists, sinners and transgressors, those who give up the truth and follow the evil, and commit all kinds of great sins).
[84] وَقالَ موسىٰ يٰقَومِ إِن كُنتُم ءامَنتُم بِاللَّهِ فَعَلَيهِ تَوَكَّلوا إِن كُنتُم مُسلِمينَ
[84] আর মূসা বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা যদি আল্লাহর উপর ঈমান এনে থাক, তবে তারই উপর ভরসা কর যদি তোমরা ফরমাবরদার হয়ে থাক।
[84] And Mûsa (Moses) said: "O my people! If you have believed in Allâh, then put your trust in Him if you are Muslims (those who submit to Allâh's Will)."
[85] فَقالوا عَلَى اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلنا رَبَّنا لا تَجعَلنا فِتنَةً لِلقَومِ الظّٰلِمينَ
[85] তখন তারা বলল, আমরা আল্লাহর উপর ভরসা করেছি। হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদের উপর এ জালেম কওমের শক্তি পরীক্ষা করিও না।
[85] They said: "In Allâh we put our trust. Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doing) (i.e. do not make them overpower us)
[86] وَنَجِّنا بِرَحمَتِكَ مِنَ القَومِ الكٰفِرينَ
[86] আর আমাদেরকে অনুগ্রহ করে ছাড়িয়ে দাও এই কাফেরদের কবল থেকে।
[86] "And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk."
[87] وَأَوحَينا إِلىٰ موسىٰ وَأَخيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءا لِقَومِكُما بِمِصرَ بُيوتًا وَاجعَلوا بُيوتَكُم قِبلَةً وَأَقيمُوا الصَّلوٰةَ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ المُؤمِنينَ
[87] আর আমি নির্দেশ পাঠালাম মূসা এবং তার ভাইয়ের প্রতি যে, তোমরা তোমাদের জাতির জন্য মিসরের মাটিতে বাস স্থান নির্ধারণ কর। আর তোমাদের ঘরগুলো বানাবে কেবলামুখী করে এবং নামায কায়েম কর আর যারা ঈমানদার তাদেরকে সুসংবাদ দান কর।
[87] And We relealed to Mûsa (Moses) and his brother (saying): "Provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, and make your dwellings as places for your worship, and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give glad tidings to the believers."
[88] وَقالَ موسىٰ رَبَّنا إِنَّكَ ءاتَيتَ فِرعَونَ وَمَلَأَهُ زينَةً وَأَموٰلًا فِى الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا رَبَّنا لِيُضِلّوا عَن سَبيلِكَ ۖ رَبَّنَا اطمِس عَلىٰ أَموٰلِهِم وَاشدُد عَلىٰ قُلوبِهِم فَلا يُؤمِنوا حَتّىٰ يَرَوُا العَذابَ الأَليمَ
[88] মূসা বলল, হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, তুমি ফেরাউনকে এবং তার সর্দারদেরকে পার্থব জীবনের আড়ম্বর দান করেছ, এবং সম্পদ দান করেছ-হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, এ জন্যই যে তারা তোমার পথ থেকে বিপথগামী করব! হে আমার পরওয়ারদেগার, তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ধ্বংস করে দাও এবং তাদের অন্তরগুলোকে কাঠোর করে দাও যাতে করে তারা ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত ঈমান না আনে যতক্ষণ না বেদনাদায়ক আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করে নেয়।
[88] And Mûsa (Moses) said: "Our Lord! You have indeed bestowed on Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of this world, our Lord! that they may lead men astray from Your Path. Our Lord! Destroy their wealth, and harden their hearts, so that they will not believe until they see the painful torment."
[89] قالَ قَد أُجيبَت دَعوَتُكُما فَاستَقيما وَلا تَتَّبِعانِّ سَبيلَ الَّذينَ لا يَعلَمونَ
[89] বললেন, তোমাদের দোয়া মঞ্জুর হয়েছে। অতএব তোমরা দুজন অটল থাকো এবং তাদের পথে চলো না যারা অজ্ঞ।
[89] Allâh said: "Verily, the invocation of you both is accepted. So you both keep to the Straight Way (i.e. keep on doing good deeds and preaching Allâh's Message with patience), and follow not the path of those who know not (the truth i.e. to believe in the Oneness of Allâh, and also to believe in the Reward of Allâh: Paradise)."
[90] ۞ وَجٰوَزنا بِبَنى إِسرٰءيلَ البَحرَ فَأَتبَعَهُم فِرعَونُ وَجُنودُهُ بَغيًا وَعَدوًا ۖ حَتّىٰ إِذا أَدرَكَهُ الغَرَقُ قالَ ءامَنتُ أَنَّهُ لا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا الَّذى ءامَنَت بِهِ بَنوا إِسرٰءيلَ وَأَنا۠ مِنَ المُسلِمينَ
[90] আর বনী-ইসরাঈলকে আমি পার করে দিয়েছি নদী। তারপর তাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করেছে ফেরাউন ও তার সেনাবাহিনী, দুরাচার ও বাড়াবাড়ির উদ্দেশে। এমনকি যখন তারা ডুবতে আরম্ভ করল, তখন বলল, এবার বিশ্বাস করে নিচ্ছি যে, কোন মা’বুদ নেই তাঁকে ছাড়া যাঁর উপর ঈমান এনেছে বনী-ইসরাঈলরা। বস্তুতঃ আমিও তাঁরই অনুগতদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
[90] And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with his hosts followed them in oppression and enmity, till when drowning overtook him, he said: "I believe that none has the right to be worshipped but He (Allah)," in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am one of the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh's Will)."
[91] ءالـٰٔنَ وَقَد عَصَيتَ قَبلُ وَكُنتَ مِنَ المُفسِدينَ
[91] এখন একথা বলছ! অথচ তুমি ইতিপূর্বে না-ফরমানী করছিলে। এবং পথভ্রষ্টদেরই অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলে।
[91] Now (you believe) while you refused to believe before and you were one of the Mufsidûn (evil-doers, corrupters).
[92] فَاليَومَ نُنَجّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكونَ لِمَن خَلفَكَ ءايَةً ۚ وَإِنَّ كَثيرًا مِنَ النّاسِ عَن ءايٰتِنا لَغٰفِلونَ
[92] অতএব আজকের দিনে বাঁচিয়ে দিচ্ছি আমি তোমার দেহকে যাতে তোমার পশ্চাদবর্তীদের জন্য নিদর্শন হতে পারে। আর নিঃসন্দেহে বহু লোক আমার মহাশক্তির প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে না।
[92] So this day We shall deliver your (dead) body (out from the sea) that you may be a sign to those who come after you! And verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs , revelations, etc.).
[93] وَلَقَد بَوَّأنا بَنى إِسرٰءيلَ مُبَوَّأَ صِدقٍ وَرَزَقنٰهُم مِنَ الطَّيِّبٰتِ فَمَا اختَلَفوا حَتّىٰ جاءَهُمُ العِلمُ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقضى بَينَهُم يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ فيما كانوا فيهِ يَختَلِفونَ
[93] আর আমি বনী-ইসরাঈলদিগকে দান করেছি উত্তম স্থান এবং তাদেরকে আহার্য দিয়েছি পবিত্র-পরিচ্ছন্ন বস্তু-সামগ্রী। বস্তুতঃ তাদের মধ্যে মতবিরোধ হয়নি যতক্ষণ না তাদের কাছে এসে পৌছেছে সংবাদ। নিঃসন্দেহে তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার তাদের মাঝে মীমাংসা করে দেবেন কেয়ামতের দিন; যে ব্যাপারে তাদের মাঝে মতবিরোধ হয়েছিল
[93] And indeed We settled the Children of Israel in an honourable dwelling place (Shâm and Misr), and provided them with good things, and they differed not until the knowledge came to them. Verily, Allâh will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection in that in which they used to differ.
[94] فَإِن كُنتَ فى شَكٍّ مِمّا أَنزَلنا إِلَيكَ فَسـَٔلِ الَّذينَ يَقرَءونَ الكِتٰبَ مِن قَبلِكَ ۚ لَقَد جاءَكَ الحَقُّ مِن رَبِّكَ فَلا تَكونَنَّ مِنَ المُمتَرينَ
[94] সুতরাং তুমি যদি সে বস্তু সম্পর্কে কোন সন্দেহের সম্মুখীন হয়ে থাক যা তোমার প্রতি আমি নাযিল করেছি, তবে তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করো যারা তোমার পূর্ব থেকে কিতাব পাঠ করছে। এতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই যে, তোমার পরওয়ারদেগারের নিকট থেকে তোমার নিকট সত্য বিষয় এসেছে। কাজেই তুমি কস্মিনকালেও সন্দেহকারী হয়ো না।
[94] So if you (O Muhammad SAW) are in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto you, [i.e. that your name is written in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] then ask those who are reading the Book [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] before you. Verily, the truth has come to you from your Lord. So be not of those who doubt (it)
[95] وَلا تَكونَنَّ مِنَ الَّذينَ كَذَّبوا بِـٔايٰتِ اللَّهِ فَتَكونَ مِنَ الخٰسِرينَ
[95] এবং তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্তও হয়ো না যারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে আল্লাহর বাণীকে। তাহলে তুমিও অকল্যাণে পতিত হয়ে যাবে।
[95] And be not one of those who belie the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, for then you shall be one of the losers.
[96] إِنَّ الَّذينَ حَقَّت عَلَيهِم كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ لا يُؤمِنونَ
[96] যাদের ব্যাপারে তোমার পরওয়ারদেগারের সিদ্ধান্ত নির্ধারিত হয়ে গেছে তারা ঈমান আনবে না।
[96] Truly! Those, against whom the Word (Wrath) of your Lord has been justified, will not believe.
[97] وَلَو جاءَتهُم كُلُّ ءايَةٍ حَتّىٰ يَرَوُا العَذابَ الأَليمَ
[97] যদি তাদের সামনে সমস্ত নিদর্শনাবলী এসে উপস্থিত হয় তবুও যতক্ষণ না তারা দেখতে পায় বেদনাদায়ক আযাব।
[97] Even if every sign should come to them, - until they see the painful torment.
[98] فَلَولا كانَت قَريَةٌ ءامَنَت فَنَفَعَها إيمٰنُها إِلّا قَومَ يونُسَ لَمّا ءامَنوا كَشَفنا عَنهُم عَذابَ الخِزىِ فِى الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا وَمَتَّعنٰهُم إِلىٰ حينٍ
[98] সুতরাং কোন জনপদ কেন এমন হল না যা ঈমান এনেছে অতঃপর তার সে ঈমান গ্রহণ হয়েছে কল্যাণকর? অবশ্য ইউনুসের সম্প্রদায়ের কথা আলাদা। তারা যখন ঈমান আনে তখন আমি তুলে নেই তাদের উপর থেকে অপমানজনক আযাব-পার্থিব জীবনে এবং তাদের কে কল্যাণ পৌছাই এক নিধারিত সময় পর্যন্ত।
[98] Was there any town (community) that believed (after seeing the punishment), and its Faith (at that moment) saved it (from the punishment)? (The answer is none,) - except the people of Yûnus (Jonah); when they believed, We removed from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the (present) world, and permitted them to enjoy for a while.
[99] وَلَو شاءَ رَبُّكَ لَءامَنَ مَن فِى الأَرضِ كُلُّهُم جَميعًا ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُكرِهُ النّاسَ حَتّىٰ يَكونوا مُؤمِنينَ
[99] আর তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার যদি চাইতেন, তবে পৃথিবীর বুকে যারা রয়েছে, তাদের সবাই ঈমান নিয়ে আসতে সমবেতভাবে। তুমি কি মানুষের উপর জবরদস্তী করবে ঈমান আনার জন্য?
[99] And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed, all of them together. So, will you (O Muhammad SAW) then compel mankind, until they become believers.
[100] وَما كانَ لِنَفسٍ أَن تُؤمِنَ إِلّا بِإِذنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَيَجعَلُ الرِّجسَ عَلَى الَّذينَ لا يَعقِلونَ
[100] আর কারো ঈমান আনা হতে পারে না, যতক্ষণ না আল্লাহর হুকুম হয়। পক্ষান্তরে তিনি অপবিত্রতা আরোপ করেন যারা বুদ্ধি প্রয়োগ করে না তাদের উপর।
[100] It is not for any person to believe, except by the Leave of Allâh, and He will put the wrath on those who are heedless.
[101] قُلِ انظُروا ماذا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ وَما تُغنِى الءايٰتُ وَالنُّذُرُ عَن قَومٍ لا يُؤمِنونَ
[101] তাহলে আপনি বলে দিন, চেয়ে দেখ তো আসমানসমুহে ও যমীনে কি রয়েছে। আর কোন নিদর্শন এবং কোন ভীতিপ্রর্দশনই কোন কাজে আসে না সেসব লোকের জন্য যারা মান্য করে না।
[101] Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and the earth," but neither Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) nor warners benefit those who believe not.
[102] فَهَل يَنتَظِرونَ إِلّا مِثلَ أَيّامِ الَّذينَ خَلَوا مِن قَبلِهِم ۚ قُل فَانتَظِروا إِنّى مَعَكُم مِنَ المُنتَظِرينَ
[102] সুতরাং এখন আর এমন কিছু নেই, যার অপেক্ষা করবে, কিন্তু সেসব দিনের মতই দিন, যা অতীত হয়ে গেছে এর পূর্বে। আপনি বলুন; এখন পথ দেখ; আমিও তোমাদের সাথে পথ চেয়ে রইলাম।
[102] Then do they wait for (anything) save for (a destruction) like the days of the men who passed away before them? Say: "Wait then, I am (too) with you among those who wait."
[103] ثُمَّ نُنَجّى رُسُلَنا وَالَّذينَ ءامَنوا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ حَقًّا عَلَينا نُنجِ المُؤمِنينَ
[103] অতঃপর আমি বাঁচিয়ে নেই নিজের রসূলগণকে এবং তাদেরকে যারা ঈমান এনেছে এমনিভাবে। ঈমানদারদের বাঁচিয়ে নেয়া আমার দায়িত্বও বটে।
[103] Then (in the end) We save Our Messengers and those who believe! Thus it is incumbent upon Us to save the believers.
[104] قُل يٰأَيُّهَا النّاسُ إِن كُنتُم فى شَكٍّ مِن دينى فَلا أَعبُدُ الَّذينَ تَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ وَلٰكِن أَعبُدُ اللَّهَ الَّذى يَتَوَفّىٰكُم ۖ وَأُمِرتُ أَن أَكونَ مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ
[104] বলে দাও-হে মানবকুল, তোমরা যদি আমার দ্বীনের ব্যাপারে সন্দিহান হয়ে থাক, তবে (জেনো) আমি তাদের এবাদত করি না যাদের এবাদত তোমরা কর আল্লাহ ব্যতীত। কিন্তু আমি এবাদত করি আল্লাহ ত’য়ালার, যিনি তুলে নেন তোমাদেরকে। আর আমার প্রতি নির্দেশ হয়েছে যাতে আমি ঈমানদারদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকি।
[104] Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O you mankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islâm), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allâh. But I worship Allâh Who causes you to die, I am commanded to be one of the believers.
[105] وَأَن أَقِم وَجهَكَ لِلدّينِ حَنيفًا وَلا تَكونَنَّ مِنَ المُشرِكينَ
[105] আর যেন সোজা দ্বীনের প্রতি মুখ করি সরল হয়ে এবং যেন মুশরেকদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত না হই।
[105] "And (it is revealed to me): Direct your face (O Muhammad SAW) entirely towards the religion Hanif (Islâmic Monotheism, i.e. to worship none but Allâh Alone), and never be one of the Mushrikûn (those who ascribe partners to Allâh, polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh, and those who worship others along with Allâh).
[106] وَلا تَدعُ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ما لا يَنفَعُكَ وَلا يَضُرُّكَ ۖ فَإِن فَعَلتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذًا مِنَ الظّٰلِمينَ
[106] আর নির্দেশ হয়েছে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন কাউকে ডাকবে না, যে তোমার ভাল করবে না মন্দও করবে না। বস্তুতঃ তুমি যদি এমন কাজ কর, তাহলে তখন তুমিও জালেমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে যাবে।
[106] "And invoke not besides Allâh, any that will neither profit you, nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)."
[107] وَإِن يَمسَسكَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلا كاشِفَ لَهُ إِلّا هُوَ ۖ وَإِن يُرِدكَ بِخَيرٍ فَلا رادَّ لِفَضلِهِ ۚ يُصيبُ بِهِ مَن يَشاءُ مِن عِبادِهِ ۚ وَهُوَ الغَفورُ الرَّحيمُ
[107] আর আল্লাহ যদি তোমার উপর কোন কষ্ট আরোপ করেন তাহলে কেউ নেই তা খন্ডাবার মত তাঁকে ছাড়া। পক্ষান্তরে যদি তিনি কিছু কল্যাণ দান করেন, তবে তার মেহেরবানীকে রহিত করার মতও কেউ নেই। তিনি যার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ দান করতে চান স্বীয় বান্দাদের মধ্যে তাকেই দান করেন; বস্তুত; তিনিই ক্ষমাশীল দয়ালু।
[107] And if Allâh touches you with hurt, there is none who can remove it but He; and if He intends any good for you, there is none who can repel His Favour which He causes it to reach whomsoever of His slaves He wills. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[108] قُل يٰأَيُّهَا النّاسُ قَد جاءَكُمُ الحَقُّ مِن رَبِّكُم ۖ فَمَنِ اهتَدىٰ فَإِنَّما يَهتَدى لِنَفسِهِ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّما يَضِلُّ عَلَيها ۖ وَما أَنا۠ عَلَيكُم بِوَكيلٍ
[108] বলে দাও, হে মানবকুল, সত্য তোমাদের কাছে পৌঁছে গেছে তোমাদের পরওয়ারদেগারের তরফ থেকে। এমন যে কেউ পথে আসে সেপথ প্রাপ্ত হয় স্বীয় মঙ্গলের জন্য। আর যে বিভ্রান্ত ঘুরতে থাকে, সে স্বীয় অমঙ্গলের জন্য বিভ্রান্ত অবস্থায় ঘুরতে থাকবে। অনন্তর আমি তোমাদের উপর অধিকারী নই।
[108] Say: "O you mankind! Now truth (i.e. the Qur'ân and Prophet Muhammad SAW), has come to you from your Lord. So whosoever receives guidance, he does so for the good of his own self, and whosoever goes astray, he does so to his own loss, and I am not (set) over you as a Wakîl (disposer of affairs to oblige you for guidance)."
[109] وَاتَّبِع ما يوحىٰ إِلَيكَ وَاصبِر حَتّىٰ يَحكُمَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَهُوَ خَيرُ الحٰكِمينَ
[109] আর তুমি চল সে অনুযায়ী যেমন নির্দেশ আসে তোমার প্রতি এবং সবর কর, যতক্ষণ না ফয়সালা করেন আল্লাহ। বস্তুতঃ তিনি হচ্ছেন সর্বোত্তম ফয়সালাকারী।
[109] And (O Muhammad SAW), follow the revelation sent unto you, and be patient till Allâh gives judgement. And He is the Best of judges.
